What LOCUS is
LOCUS surfaces clinical, research, shadowing, and volunteering opportunities near your campus and lets you log the hours and reflections that come out of them. It's free for students during early access.
Opportunity listings
We vet listings for accuracy, but organizations change their programs, contacts, and availability without telling us. Always confirm details with the hosting organization before showing up or applying. LOCUS is a guide, not a guarantee of placement.
Your account
Keep your sign-in method (your email or Google account) secure — anything done from your account is on you. One account per person, and you must be a real student or advisor using LOCUS for its intended purpose.
Your content
The hours, reflections, and profile details you log are yours. You give us permission to store and process them so the product can work; we don't use them for anything else (see the Privacy Policy).
Acceptable use
Don't scrape the service, probe its security, submit false hours, impersonate others, or use LOCUS to spam the organizations it lists. We can suspend accounts that do.
No warranty
LOCUS is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves; continued use after an update means you accept the new version. Significant changes will be noted here with a new effective date.
